The main organizers and creators of this toolkit are happy to speak to your organization or network of organizations to guide you through it. Contact information is on this press release. ESL's Laura Combs volunteered over the last seven months to work on this toolkit, and it is the most effective we have seen to help people access IRA funding opportunities!

Research Triangle Institute International (RTI) has received $50 million in IRA grant funding from the EPA as part of the Environmental Justice Thriving Communities Grantmaking Program. This funding will benefit EPA Region 4, which includes North Carolina and Alabama.

Funding is targeted at underserved communities and subgrants are anticipated starting in Summer 2024.

RTI "Will ensure funding enables projects that support the goals and strategies of the EPA’s Strategic Plan and the broader Justice40 Initiative, such as clean and healthy air for all communities, clean and safe water for all communities, and safety of chemicals for people and the environment."

ESL is compiling a list of potential grant sub-recipients to forward to RTI before the funding opportunity announcement is made, and if your organization could benefit from a potential grant from RTI, please forward your info to Laura at lcombs@eaglesolarandlight.com.
