MASTER ELECTRICIAN - ALABAMA AND NORTH CAROLINA

Eagle Solar & Light is seeking a motivated and experienced Master Electrician who takes pride in her/his work and wants to join a growing company dedicated to making a better environment and safer world.

As the Master Electrician, you will work with the Chief Operations Officer and Project Managers to
carry out electrical work on current solar installations as well as manage ongoing quality control
and Operations and Maintenance(O&M) of existing systems.
What you’ll do as the Master Electrician:
• Procure electrical permits and have close contact with Authority Having Jurisdiction including
attending all final inspections
• Collaborate with design team as needed
• Ensure the successful installation of the photovoltaic (PV) systems in coordination with Installer
Team lead
• Coordinate with Installer Team Leader to inspect DC module array interconnect wiring and to
identify location for AC components and interconnects
• Interconnect Inverter and other AC components per engineer approved plans to be code
compliant
• Program, adjust, test and commission equipment including monitoring communications
• Perform routine photovoltaic (PV) system maintenance on modules, arrays, equipment, safety
systems, structural systems, weather sealing, and balance of systems components
• Serve as lead technical personnel responding to issues identified through monitoring PV
systems
• Work with vendors to secure, install, and return warranty replacement components
• Schedule O&M site visits for routine/annual maintenance for existing systems as well as
respond to needed service calls
• Communicate effectively with staff regarding the status of electrical for each job and O&M tasks
What’s required of you:
• Must be a licensed Master Electrician in Alabama and/or North Carolina
• Experience inspecting equipment, structures, and materials to identify the cause of errors or
other problems or defects
• Ability to travel throughout Alabama or North Carolina to perform installations and maintenance
• Ability to perform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and
moving your whole body, such as climbing ladders, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and
handling of materials

Additional qualifications:
• Experience with PV systems is strongly desired
• Commercial electrical experience is a bonus
• Experience troubleshooting existing electrical and/or communication systems

Solar Installer Job description

Position Overview This position is primarily responsible for providing support to multiple job sites located within the Company footprint on a continual/on-demand basis, in order to facilitate completion of projects, troubleshoot/resolve equipment issues, as well as providing O&M support. The position will coordinate and communicate with supervisors and customers, follow work schedule, conducting maintenance, equipment installations, and overall operational support. Working with the Lead Field Service Technician, specified position duties and expectations include:

  • Install, remove, maintain solar modules or LED lights and other related electrical equipment
  • Work to ensure a safe, event free work environment by ensuring strict adherence to company protocols, safety procedures, and regulations
  • Apply problem solving skills to identifying and resolving issues at hand
  • Support real time solutions to daily operational issues, with minimal supervisory input
  • Follow plans, maintenance schedules and communicate with various groups
  • Assist with qualifying/commissioning of equipment and systems
  • Document work performed and report in clear and concise manner
  • Assist with diagnosing/troubleshooting equipment failures and perform annual maintenance on a variety of solar and LED light electrical equipment
  • Assist insuring compliance with all operational, environmental and other regulatory and policy compliance requirements. Monitor station environmental, health and safety objectives and insures they are met.
  • Apply Safety First mentality to all aspects of job performance.

Requirements

  • Must be able to lift 75 pounds regularly unassisted
  • Clear understanding of OSHA safe work place practices and procedure, minimum requirement of OSHA 10 certification
  • Pass Background check, submit to Drug Test if requested, and possess clean MVR driving record

Additional Beneficial Experience

  • General Construction and/or solar experience
  • NABCEP Installer or Professional Certification

Job Type: Hourly to Full-time, may be temporary work that is project specific.

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
