14.7 Kw - Birmingham, AL

Eagle Solar & Light constructed a grid-connected photovoltaic (solar) system for The Altamont School in Birmingham, Alabama. The system consists of 44 REC Twin Peak, 335 Watt, 72 cell commercial solar modules, mounted on schedule 40 galvanized pipe attached to concrete walls on a 180-degree azimuth and 30 degree angle, with a SnapNRack aluminum rail system.  The system includes the SolarEdge P400 and P700  Optimizers mounted with the solar modules to maximize energy generation, and feed into a SolarEdge SE14.400US Inverter, converting the energy to 3 Phase, 208V, alternating current.

100.3 Kw - Mountain Brook, AL

Eagle Solar & Light installed a grid-connected photovoltaic (solar) system for Cobbs Allen in Mountain Brook, Alabama. The system consists of 345 REC Twin Peak, 290 Watt, 60 cell solar modules. This is the second ballasted roof-mount system for the company using AeroCompact 2 racking and weighted system. The installation includes the SolarEdge P600  Optimizers mounted with the solar modules to maximize energy generation, and fed into 2 SolarEdge SE33.300US and 1 SE10.00US Inverters, converting the energy to 3 Phase, 240V, alternating current. This is the largest single solar installation in the Birmingham area!

6.0 Kw - Winston County, AL

Eagle Solar & Light constructed a grid-connected photovoltaic (solar) system for a residence in Winston County, in Northwest Alabama. The system consists of 18 REC Twin Peak, 335 Watt, 72 cell commercial solar modules, mounted on schedule 40 galvanized pipe frame on a 180-degree azimuth and 30 degree angle, with a SnapNRack aluminum rail system.  The system includes the SolarEdge P400  Optimizers mounted with the solar modules to maximize energy generation, and feed into a SolarEdge SE5.000US Inverter, converting the energy to 240V, split-phase alternating current.

20.4 Kw - Anniston, AL

Eagle Solar & Light installed a photovoltaic (solar) direct interconnect with Alabama Power Company on a commercial building estimated to generate 32,000 kilowatt-hours annually.   System components include 64 REC Twin Peak, 335 Watt, 72 cell commercial solar modules, mounted on a SnapNRack array on a 180-degree azimuth and 30 degree angle.  The system includes the SolarEdge P700 Optimizers mounted with the solar modules to maximize energy generation, and 2 SolarEdge SE9.000US Inverters wired in parallel, converting the energy to 3 Phase, 208V, alternating current.

3.4 Kw - Jackson County, AL

Eagle Solar & Light constructed an off-grid photovoltaic (solar) system for a residence in Jackson County, in Northeast Alabama. The system powers the electrical requirements of the cabin, and consists of 10 REC Twin Peak, 335 Watt, 72 cell commercial solar modules, mounted on a SnapNRack ground mount array on a 180 degree azimuth and 30 degree angle.  To serve off-grid purposes, the system also includes a Schneider XW-MPPT80-600 Charge Controller, a Schneider XW 6848 Battery Inverter, a Schneider XW Mini Power Distribution Panel, Schneider Conext Battery Monitor, Schneider Automated Generator Start (AGS), and a 48 Volt, 534 amp-hour Outback 200 NC, Nano Carbon Battery System.

1.5 Kw - Birmingham, AL

Eagle Solar & Light completed a photovoltaic (solar) direct interconnect with Alabama Power Company at the Alabama Environmental Council, a non-profit environmental advocacy organization.  The system consists of 5 LG, 300 watt, solar modules mounted on a custom engineered and fabricated aluminum frame extended over the south eve of the building with 5 Enphase M250 micro-inverters, through a direct series interconnect to a 20 amp dipole 120/208 VAC breaker, plus an Enphase Envoy Communications gateway for real time monitoring.

6.0 Kw - Highlands, NC

Eagle Solar & Light installed a 6 kW rooftop photovoltaic (solar) system on a 3 bedroom/3 bath residence in Highlands, NC. The modules are mounted on both a southeast and southwest roof hip orientation at a 40 degree angle. The system consists of 20 LG, 300 watt, solar modules mounted on a SnapNRack aluminum rail mounting system system, a SolarEdge SE5000A 240/208 VAC Inverter, 20 SolarEdge P300 DC optimizers, and a SolarEdge Zigbee Ethernet Gateway Kit for real time monitoring. This system is a direct interconnect with Duke Energy.

1.8 Kw - Sterrett, AL

Eagle Solar & Light constructed an off-grid photovoltaic (solar) and LED lighting system for a stand-alone structure in rural Shelby County. The system consists of 6 SolarWorld, 300 watt, solar modules mounted on schedule 40 galvanized pipe on concrete foundations, a SnapNRack aluminum rail mounting system, a 48V Outback 200NC AGM, Nano-Carbon battery storage system (100 amp-hours), Mid Night Classic 250 solar controller, 8 Active LED 6 watt public space lights, 4 Active LED 24 watt flood lights, 3 DC, 17 watt, ceiling fans, and Aims power inverter to provide AC power to multiple outlets. The array is oriented due south, installed on a 30 degree angle, and located away from trees and potential shading, for best electricity generation.

0.9 Kw - Birmingham, AL

Eagle Solar & Light completed a photovoltaic (solar) direct interconnect with Alabama Power Company on our shared commercial building in Avondale.  The system consists of 3 LG, 300 watt, solar modules mounted on a custom engineered and fabricated aluminum frame mounted at the top of the wall on the southern portion of the commercial building at a 30 degree angle, 3 Enphase M250 micro-inverters, through a direct series interconnect to a 20 amp dipole 120/208 VAC breaker, plus an Enphase Envoy Communications gateway for real time monitoring.

12.0 Kw - Mountain Brook, AL

Eagle Solar & Light installed the first photovoltaic (solar) ground mount in the City of Mountain Brook in late August 2016.  The system consists of 40 LG, 300 watt, solar modules mounted on schedule 40 galvanized pipe on concrete foundations, a SnapNRack aluminum rail mounting system system, a SolarEdge SE10000A 240/208 VAC Inverter, 40 SolarEdge P300 DC optimizers, and a SolarEdge Zigbee Ethernet Gateway Kit for real time monitoring. This array is installed 170' from the residential dwelling, with the Inverter mounted adjacent to the ground mount, minimizing energy losses. The modules are mounted on a 20 degree angle oriented due south with a custom designed water-cooling system that increases electricity generation by 8%.

8.4 Kw - Arvada, CO

Eagle Solar & Light completed an 8.4 kW photovoltaic (solar) direct interconnect system with Xcel Energy in Arvada, Colorado. It is an east-west module orientation on a 4 bedroom/3 bath residential home. The system consists of 28 LG, 300 watt, solar modules roof mounted on a pre-engineered Snap N Rack aluminum racking system, 28 SolarEdge P300-5 optimizers, a SolarEdge SE7600A non-isolated string inverter, through a direct series interconnect to an Xcel Energy Production meter, then into the 200 amp 120/208 VAC main panel, plus a Zigbee Ethernet real time monitoring gateway. Eagle Solar & Light procured the license from Xcel Energy, purchased and had delivered all solar components to the job site, and provided project management and installation assistance.

0.78 Kw - Birmingham, AL

Eagle Solar & Light completed a photovoltaic (solar) and LED light installation on the 85’ climbing/zip line tower at Red Mountain Park, a non-profit public park near Birmingham, AL.  The system consists of 3 Hyundai, 260 watt, solar modules mounted on a custom engineered and fabricated rack system mounted 80’ above the ground, a 48V Outback 200NC AGM, Nano-Carbon battery storage system (178 amp-hours), an Active LED Solar Controller, a Morningstar Controller, 9 Active LED, 6 watt, public space lights mounted on each level of the indoor circular staircase leading to the top, 1 Active LED, 24 watt, public space light mounted on the ceiling of the top floor for zip line entry, and 3 Active LED, 24 watt, spotlights illuminated the tower exterior.  The system includes the advanced LSM (light space manager), ALS (ambient light sensor), multiple motion sensors, that control nightly illumination, programmed for auto shut down in the absence of motion, and instantaneous on with the detection of motion.
